Beth-nimrah

Beth-nim’rah (house of leopards), one of the fenced cities on the east of Jordan, taken and built by the tribe of Gad, Num. 32:36, and described as lying in the valley beside Beth-haran. Josh. 13:27. In Num. 32:3 it is called simply Nimrah. The name still survives in the modern Nahr Nimrin, above Jericho on the Jordan.
