Eshcol The valley of
Esh’col, The valley of or The brook of, a wady in the neighborhood of Hebron (Mamre), explored by the spies who were sent by Moses from Kadesh-barnea. Num. 13:23, 24; Deut. 1:24. The name is still attached to a spring of fine water called ’Ain Eshkali, in a valley about two miles north of Hebron.
